1. Program Description

Bible Church of Reconciliation ("we," "our," or "us") operates an SMS text messaging program to communicate with our congregation members and community. By opting in to this program, you agree to receive recurring automated text messages from us, which may include:

  • Service times and location updates

  • Event and ministry announcements

  • Emergency or urgent church communications

Message frequency varies. We may send multiple messages per week depending on church activity.

2. Eligibility ‍

By opting in, you confirm that:

  • You are the account holder or have the account holder's permission to use the mobile number provided

  • You are at least 13 years of age (or have parental consent if under 18)

  • You consent to receive recurring automated text messages from Bible Church of Reconciliation

3. How to Opt In

‍You may opt in to our SMS program by:

  • Replying STOP

  • Completing an opt-in form on our website or at church

  • Providing your mobile number verbally or in writing to a church staff member with the understanding that you will receive SMS communications ‍

4. How to Opt Out

You may cancel your subscription at any time by replying STOP to any message from us. After texting STOP, you will receive one final confirmation message and will be removed from our list.

To re-subscribe, text START to the same number or contact us directly.

6. Costs and Carrier Terms‍ ‍

Message and data rates may apply. These charges are billed by your mobile carrier and are your responsibility. Bible Church of Reconciliation does not charge a fee to participate in this SMS program.

This program is compatible with most major U.S. carriers, including AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile, Sprint, and others. Carrier availability is not guaranteed in all areas.‍ ‍

7. No Guarantee of Delivery

We are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages due to carrier issues, technical failures, or factors outside our control. SMS is not a guaranteed delivery channel and should not be relied upon for time-sensitive emergencies.

8. Modifications

We reserve the right to change, suspend, or discontinue this SMS program at any time. We may also update these Terms and Conditions without prior notice. Your continued participation in the program constitutes acceptance of any updated terms.

9. Privacy ‍

Your use of our SMS program is also governed by our Privacy Policy, available at www.thebcor.org/privacy-policy. We do not sell or share your mobile number with third parties for marketing purposes.

10. Limitation of Liability

Bible Church of Reconciliation is a nonprofit religious organization. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any damages arising from your participation in this SMS program, including but not limited to indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

11. Governing Law

‍These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, without regard to conflict of law principles.
